lived in a home from being 6 weeks old. At 3 years of age he was put into rescue through no fault of his own.
He was not well socialised and growled at people, which meant he was labelled aggressive. His owner had to wear leather gloves when he handled him as he nipped his hands. He had had to wear a muzzle when taken out. He did bite some people.
In the rescue kennels a man called a “behavioural expert” assessed him. He was assessed as “unpredictable, could never be rehomed and should be put to sleep”.
We adopted him and given choices he never needed to growl or bite again. He NEVER wore a muzzle again.
